Take the A9 road from Kandy to Matale
3km before Matale take a right hand turn up Kandenuwara Road (B461) over the small rail bridge towards Alwatta.
Drive for about 12 mins (6kms) upto the 24km marker
Strathisla Guesthouse is located 50m past the marker, on the first unsealed track to the right.
